“Bedrock” is an upcoming American adult animated sequel series to Hanna-Barbera’s original animated series, “The Flintstones”. This new series will be co-produced by Warner Bros. Animation and Fox Entertainment. It’s set to be the tenth incarnation of the Flintstones franchise.
The series will follow The Flintstone family two decades after the original. Fred is on the brink of retirement and 20-something Pebbles is embarking on her own career. As the Stone Age gives way to a shiny and enlightened new Bronze Age, the residents of Bedrock will find this evolution harder than a swing from Bamm-Bamm’s club.
The New Flintstones Series “Bedrock” Cast
Cast includes Elizabeth Banks as Pebbles Flintstone, Stephen Root as Fred Flintstone, Amy Sedaris as Wilma Flintstone, Nicole Byer as Betty Rubble, Joe Lo Truglio as Barney Rubble, and Manny Jacinto as Bamm-Bamm Rubble.
The series was announced on April 27, 2021. Elizabeth Banks, who is also producing the show, will voice Pebbles. The pilot script is being written by Lindsay Kerns, who had written Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and DC Super Hero Girls.
Where and When Can “Bedrock” Be Seen?
“Bedrock” will premiere in 2024 on Fox. The network has ordered a season of 13 episodes. The series will also be available for streaming on Hulu, which holds the broadcasting rights for the entire Flintstones catalog.
