“It’s definitely something we’re thinking about. One of the things I like most about David Heyman, my producer, is that he’s made so many great movies that he doesn’t feel pressure to make a movie because it can be made. He has a great saying that’s enormously reassuring to me when he says. ‘Let’s think about it, see what we come up with and then see if we want to do it,’ and it’s incredibly liberating, rather than someone saying, ‘You’re making a movie that’s coming out in September,’ and you say, ‘I don’t even have an idea. Let’s take a walk and keep calm, it was about 50 years between Gene Wilder’s movie and ours.”
“We can wait a moment, and if we don’t come up with a story, this is a movie with a beginning, middle and end that works on its own and we’ll see if we come up with something that we think might be exciting. Of course, there are some ideas kicking around, but we don’t have a story yet, so we’ll see what happens.”
